Sora by Overdrive - Library eBooks App
Sora is an eBooks library. Students may check out books on wifi devices. We have practiced this at school with third and fourth grade classes. The Sora app is free and safe
Login to CLEVER with your username and password for the quickest access.
Here is a quick guide to download the app.
- Go to the the App Store or Play Store
- Tap Search and type Sora
- Click on Sora- Library eBooks
- Download the free app.
- The next screen asks if you want to sign up, click "I am under 13 years old.", use AR username and password
- Tap "+Add a library"
- Type in Beauregard Elementary; Tap search
- Then tap Lee County Schools
- Login with your AR username and password
- Collections: Elementary is quickest way to our section.
You are now ready to check out books from Sora
The students and I have discussed going to the icon with the stack of books clicking on Collections then Elementary Collection. Levels is another way to narrow the search, since so many books are displayed it is helpful to reduce the number of books to review. In Levels click ATOS (synonym for AR). Books that are a gray color have been checked out. Books that are black give you the ability to view a summary and then checkout or go back to the previous screen. Once you find a book you want to checkout click Borrow and the book is in your account for 14 days. The picture of the person is your account icon. Sometimes you may need to go into your account and return a book before 14 days so you can get a new book. Two books maybe checked out at a time.
I know it sounds like a lot but it goes fast. The students love using Overdrive. If your child needs help with this process please let them know the librarian at school will be glad to help.
Happy Reading!
