School is off to a great start and many students are benefiting from putting forth great effort and having positive attitudes. We are pleased to continue F.C.A. (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) huddle group meetings. The effort is strictly voluntary with no requirement for participation or attendance. FCA Huddle Groups are already in place at schools across our district. This organization is a proven model that teaches students Christian values and beliefs. There are four core values to the program. This values are excellence, teamwork, integrity and service.
FCA began in 1954 and over the last fifty plus years has had a positive influence on thousands of athletes (and general student bodies) in our nation’s schools. The F.C.A. mission reads, “To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, with the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”
The meetings are open to all students in 5th grade and 6th grade; not just athletes. Parents and other interested adults may attend the meetings as well. FCA huddle meetings will take place on the first Monday of each month. This is an after school activity and you, the parent or guardian, will be responsible for transportation. The meeting will be over at 3:45 p.m. CST.
We can't wait to serve Chirst together.
