I am originally from Hoover, Alabama, where I graduated from Briarwood Christian High School.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from UAB.  I have lived in the Smiths Station area for 30 years. This is my 35th year teaching.  All but 6 of those years have been spent in the 6th grade.

I am married and have a German Shepherd named Ziva. My husband and I have 4 grown children and 9 grandchildren.  I enjoy reading, growing flowers, sewing, and making crafts.  I don't really like pizza or ice cream.  My favorite color is pink.
