Welcome to West Smiths Station Elementary School's Media Center!

Class information   

Students visit the media center for classes every other week.  During this time, we will discuss books, authors, illustrators, and learn information literacy skills as they relate to classroom curriculum.  We have daily open checkout times available for students to exchange books.  If for some reason, you do not wish for your child to check out books, you must notify the media center in writing.  If we do not receive written notification, we will automatically assume your child may check out books.  I look forward to working with your students.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me .    

Book Care

Please encourage your student to take especially good care of their library books.  Many students have water or juice in their bookbags.  This can easily cause damage to our library books.  Please make sure liquids are stored in outside pockets.  We understand accidents will happen, but many "accidents" can be avoided.  Thank you for your help!
